Why you should never skip a meal!

Have you every skipped a meal? Most of us have done it on the odd occasion. Whether it be that your 'too busy', you simply don't feel like eating at that point in time or even your trying to cut back because of the treats you had on the weekend! Skipping meals is a massive NO when it comes to your overall health and fitness. No matter what your goals are in terms of either weight loss, weight gain, muscle gain etc.. it is something that everyone does occasionally but you are doing a lot more harm than good by doing it! Your body fatigues quickly due to it not having 'fuel' to keep going. Which means your long busy day seems to be extra long and extra busy because your body has nothing to process to keep going. You also are making your metabolism slow down, which in turn makes it very hard for you to burn fat.

Starving your body also normally leads to binge eating once you do eventually sit down for a meal, which is obviously not good for your health or for your goals at all. So ditch the 'Hangry' (Hungry & Angry) feeling and fuel your body with well nourished foods to keep your body processing regular meals to avoid any of what I mentioned above.

Think of your body as a nice BMW, Range Rover or Land Cruiser... you wouldn't put poor quality fuel with dirt into the tank, you also wouldn't let it run out of oil just because you were 'busy', so don't do the same thing to yourself, you need to schedule in time to eat regularly and you will find you will most likely get more done within your day because you will have extra energy and be in a better mood.
