Christmas Holiday Tips and Tricks

As 2016 is coming to an end, it brings with it the festive season. A lot of Christmas functions and family get togethers can create an environment which you are surrounded by bad food choices, large amounts of alcohol and not a lot of sleep. Below I have included a few quick tips and tricks to get you through the Christmas/New Years week without ruining your great progress.

* Take a bottle of water with you everywhere! Stay hydrated, even when consuming alcohol you should be aiming for at least 8 cups of water a day!

*Try to get at least 6-7 hours sleep each night.

*Don't skip meals, but just keep in mind your portion sizes. I am not saying don't indulge at all, but just keep to small servings on the 'treat' type of food.

*If your asked to bring a plate then make it a big fruit salad or garden salad, you will find a lot of people are on the same journey and would love your dish that you brought along.

*Smile, be happy, adventure, and just love the awesome vibe that Christmas and the New Year brings.

*Make time to exercise, even if its just a short 10 minute HIIT session before your morning shower. Hope these few Tips and Tricks helped! Most of all, have a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year. Amy. x
